All (5) essential heatsinks to add to your Bitaxe Gamma for optimum cooling.
For optimal cooling, five additional heatsinks are recommended, even when running on default settings. These are not typically included with most Bitaxe packages.
When over-clocking, or running in high ambient temperature conditions, additional heatsinks on the top and bottom side of the board are an absolute must.
Each of the five heatsinks is size-optimized to the specific hotspots on the Gamma
These are all aluminum, adhesive-backed, and selected to fit the exact dimensions of each hotspot.
Recommended for maximum cooling capability when over-clocking
Note: The Giant Squid Cooling system can accomodate most after-market adhesive heatsinks (e.g. the chunky copper ones for Raspberry Pi). However, the stubby finning on many of these will limit their cooling ability. Their sizes can be too large to mount properly or too small to be effective.
