The Meanwell LRS-50-5 is a great power supply unit (PSU) upgrade for your Bitaxe Gamma. It has great voltage regulation, additional power to 50W, ample convective cooling, and features a 5V adjustment control.
However, the exposed terminals not only look 'unfinished' but they are a huge SAFETY HAZARD. The 120V AC terminals can deliver a LETHAL SHOCK, and small fingers and metal objects can contact them easily.
I designed this stand primarily to completely cover the exposed electrical terminals. I think it looks great, and matches the 'exposed electronics' esthetic of the Bitaxe and the Giant Squid. The following additional features really make it a welcome companion to your Bitaxe:
